Summer provides a great opportunity for students in grades K-12 to reinforce their math knowledge and prepare for the upcoming school year, take math competition courses that provide additional challenges, and prevent summer learning loss. This summer, RSM is also offering an intensive 3 Week Program and a Summer Math Academy at select branches.

3 Week Program

3 Week Summer Program at RSM-Mountain View

This 3 week program will allow your student to sharpen their math skills as they are guided through classwork by a teacher, giving them personalized support as they learn in an engaging and effective classroom environment. This course will meet 4 times per week for 1-2.5 hours.

Course Overview

  • Program Duration: 3 weeks, 2 sessions offered
  • Grade Levels: 1-8
  • Class Frequency: 4 classes per week
  • Class Duration: 1-2.5 hours
Full Day Summer Program

Summer Math Academy at RSM-San Francisco Lakeside

Our Summer Math Academy invites rising 1st–5th graders to explore numbers, puzzles, and problem-solving in a lively, supportive environment designed to spark a love of learning. Students will be placed into appropriate groups based on grade and skill level. Lunch may be ordered for an extra fee, or students can bring their own.

  • Program Duration: 1 week
  • Grade Levels: 1-5
  • Class Frequency: 5 classes per week
  • Class Duration: 9am-4pm (Early drop off and Late pick up options also available)

Elementary School Math Classes

Elementary School Summer Math Classes (Grades K-2)

Elementary students will develop their abstract thinking and reasoning ability while also learning about connections between numbers, identifying geometric shapes, practicing math language development and learning how to problem solve. Students in this program will meet twice a week for 1-2 hours to develop these skills.

  • Program Duration at all other branches: 6 weeks with 2 classes per week
  • Grade Levels: K-2
  • Class Duration: 1-2 hours
Elementary School Math Classes

Elementary School Summer Math Classes (Grades 3-5)

Upper elementary students will develop reasoning skills, begin to solve word problems, discover how to make mental calculations, expand and apply their knowledge of operations, and start working with fractions. These classes will meet twice a week for 2 hours during the program.

  • Grade Levels: 3-5
  • Class Duration: 2 hours
Middle School Math Classes

Middle School Summer Math Classes (Grades 6-8)

Middle school students will learn how to solve more complex word problems, work with rational numbers, discover number theory, practice solving linear and absolute value equations, begin to work with polynomials, work with fractions, ratios, proportions, and percentages, and more. Students also have the opportunity to learn geometry basics, including fundamental geometrical statements and more. Classes will meet twice a week for 2-2.5 hours.

  • Grade Levels: 6-8
  • Class Duration: 2-2.5 hours
High School Math Classes

High School Summer Math Classes (Grades 9-12)

High school students will progress to more advanced mathematical topics, including factoring, quadratic equations, geometry theorems and proofs, polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and exponential functions, algebraic fractions, trigonometry, and more. Students enrolled in this course will meet twice a week for 2-2.5 hours.

  • Grade Levels: 9-12
  • Class Duration: 2-2.5 hours
Math Competition Classes

Summer Math Competition Classes

Students who participate in our competitions program will learn about combinatorics, number theory, geometric, and word and logic problems in order to prepare for the non-standard questions they will encounter on these tests. These courses are perfect for students who enjoy math challenges and will help prepare them for Math Kangaroo, MOEMS, AMC 8, 10, 12, USA(J)MO, and more. This course meets twice a week for 2-2.5 hours.
