- Take two rectangular pieces of colored paper and fold them in half. Round off the edges on the open side. [picture 1]
- Make two cuts on the folded side in order to have three equal parts. [picture 2]
- Place the two sides next to each other and begin weaving them together. Make sure you alternate between the colors.
- Parents write patterns/sequences and children weave in an empty strips of colored paper and this can be your very own Valentines Day Magic Square!
- Once your child is done weaving the heart, fill in a magic square number sequence and write answers together. You can find some examples of magic squares here.
