Our summer interns were current and former RSM students, some of whom have been with part of the RSM community since as early as 2nd grade. For years, they’ve experienced RSM from the classroom. This summer, they had the opportunity to see it from a whole new perspective: from inside the organization.
We strive to support our students' learning and development beyond the classroom and long after they complete our program. The RSM community is always open to all of our students, current and former, and it is always a joy to continue working with them. It was a privilege for our team to share their knowledge and expertise with the next generation and continue supporting our students as they grow.
Our summer interns included:
- Nathan Chan: Software Engineering
- Platon Gorkavy: Management
- Jay Kulkarni: Data Analytics
- Abinav Kumar: Software Engineering
- Oliver Kuo: Marketing
- Beryl Li: Real Estate/Business Development
- Alexander Sarkic: Data Analytics
- Srihaas Tadapaneni: HR
- Evan Tran: Recruiting
- Dory Zhong: Education
"Our high school interns were just as talented as the university-level interns that we've had in the past." said Viktor Gyuris, Software Engineering Team Lead.
Nathan Chan and Abinav Kumar joined Viktor on the Software Engineering team, where they developed software featuring two different visualizations of RSM's global reach: an interactive heatmap and real-time sparks.
"RSM has helped me a lot in developing my thinking process," Abinav said. "Before I came to RSM, I tended to think a lot more rigidly. After coming to RSM in 3rd grade, I started thinking more fluidly."
Oliver Kuo helped the Marketing team with competitor analysis, keyword research, and SEO this summer. "Overall, the whole internship was really enlightening and helpful," Oliver said.
"The RSM internship program gave students a unique look behind the scenes at a company many of them grew up with," said Elena Kolbeck, Digital Marketing Manager. "Oliver was sharp, thorough, and a pleasure to work with this summer!"
Beryl Li worked with the Real Estate & Business Development teams and learned how to perform market and financial analyses and discovered the world of commercial real estate. "The internship was very well-paced; I felt I had a good amount of time to really learn about the business processes," Beryl said. "I had a great experience this summer!"
Thank you to all of our interns for their hard work this summer! We loved having their energy, curiosity, and fresh perspectives at HQ this summer and we wish them all the best in the upcoming school year.
